To build an egalitarian society based on justice, freedom and harmony through our teacher-trainees, extension service and research.
- A paradigm shift towards imparting education through the ICT modes.
- Sharing of all ICT enabled and smart classrooms by the different departments on a practical basis such that all teaching staff has access to ICT enable teaching.
- Ensuring ICT skills amongst all faculty members so that they are competent to get involved with the production of MOOC’s.
- Receive feedback from stakeholders on various issues related to teacher education like the duration of the course, Credit Based Semester System that the University has initiated for the teacher education courses, etc. This will help the college; especially the faculty to adapt to the changes with a more positive attitude.
- A lot of stress will be given on imparting sound pedagogical analysis of the methodology subject related topics before the commencement of micro and reflective teaching skills sessions.
- This will acquaint the students to analyze any unit of their methodology and design the instruction appropriately. Such an exercise will prove handy in proper documentation of the instructional design in period plans.
- We propose to organize collaborative workshops and seminars with a view to enhance the teacher education curriculum in various areas like pedagogy, Curriculum Development, Environment, Information and Communication Technology.
- Expand the perspectives and experience of our students, to take them beyond the boundaries laid down by the prescribed curriculum and to enhance their professional skills, we propose to organize several short and interesting workshops, seminars and courses.
- Work towards flexibility in learning by incorporating technology in teaching. The staff and students will be trained in using this for curriculum transaction.
- Publication of learning material for other universities will be encouraged, support material and important topics will be emailed to the students.
- To take initiative that bridges the gap between schools and teacher education colleges.
- Inclusive practices will be given importance.
- The library will update and provide access to faculty to research published nationally and the international level.
