Teacher training is a challenging task as it covers the whole range of teacher preparation, from theoretical dimensions of teaching-learning to the practical teaching in the class room situation. Moreover, the evaluation process in teaching-learning is more complex and requires the judicious and empathetic approach by the teacher-evaluator. This wide sphere of elements are imparted in a teacher training institute.
The Eastern Dooars B.Ed. Training College is one of the pioneering institute in West Bengal in general and northern districts of the state in particular. The responsibility of administering the whole range of activities in this premier institute is challenging. Fortunately, the members of the Governing Body, the members of faculties of the departments (D.El.Ed. , B.Ed. and M.Ed.) are cooperative. The supporting staff of the college is dedicated to the betterment of the college. Despite all these the institute needs to move forward a long way. It is possible to have a smooth journey with the earnest support of all stake holders including the teacher pupils.
