Eastern Dooars B.Ed. Training College is situated in a remote rural area of Alipurduar District of West Bengal. But the College is committed to promote basic human values among its students, teachers and other stakeholders. Thus, the College sets some core values for abiding by students, teachers and other stakeholders. Our core values are:
  • Excellence: Striving for high standards of academic achievements, teaching qualities and overall performance is the most important core values of the college.
  • Integrity: All the activities should be conducted ethically. Research and teaching shall be carried out in an environment of academic freedom and honesty.
  • Accountability: The roles and responsibilities are assigned and people are held accountable for their deeds. For maintaining accountability, responsible decision making and conflict resolution are encouraged and dignity of the concerned person is highly respected. We feel our liability towards society and our actions add value to the Institute.
  • Gender Equality: Gender equality lies at the heart of inclusive education and efforts to ensure equal opportunities for all. To achieve gender equality in and through education, governments must eliminate gender biases from curricula and learning materials, expand teacher training on gender-transformative pedagogy, and foster safe and inclusive learning environments to ensure that no one is left behind.
